had an hour just before dark

felt like a bit of fishing earlier so went down by the river for an hour with the missis the baby and ideation of here,first half hour nothing,then put a big fat worm on and bang nice brown trout just as it was getting dark.a good fish for this river 17 inches long and 2.2 pounds.any one got any tips for worming rivers different rigs etc.

well done on the catch,

a nice big fat blackhead worm (i am not being racist) always does it for me espically after a little rain fall when the river is settling down try it on a float or on the bottom.

your right mate the biggest worm in the tub always seems to do the job lol,i will try a float on the calm sretches of river atb

when i am worming for trout i just use a hook no waits at all

Nice fish mate they come on the feed when the sun is dipping . Try free lining your worm without weights just let the line out and let the current take it down river . Just got back had a few little brownies but enjoyable all the same . Going out first light the morn. Caught on maggots the night bait feeders do the job get the fish in the same spot and keep em there tight lines FV.
