whippeter69 88
:clapper: I have just been giggling to myself over this for the last 5 minutes. Heres a quote off one anti hunting site Hare Hunting and Coursing. Hares are also hunted with packs of hounds which are followed on foot, as hares are reluctant to leave their territory so the chase takes place in a large circle. The chase can last to around 90 minutes before the hare is finally killed by the hounds. The aim of hare coursing is for two dogs (usually greyhounds or lurchers) to compete against each other in pursuit of a live hare, and provide 'entertainment', to be gambled on or, in some cases, food. Its the part in red that gets me, what they hell are they on these days :clapper: HEREis the site link lads. Quote Link to post

Staggerz 7
don't forget the genetically modified hares that have been bred with no ears so they can't hear anyone coming Quote Link to post
michaelhunter 4
it is right mate some dogs not sure exactly what hounds they are but beagle type hounds when worked in a pack can follow a hare for hours just by there scent and then eventually make a kill. michael Quote Link to post

cocker 2,654
the idiots have got their storys mixed up, between hunting with hare hounds (beagles harriers and bassets) and coursing, two different forms of hunting with two different types of dogs. it just goes to show what they know, cocker Edited April 15, 2010 by cocker Quote Link to post
