hi i wood like some help if you can?My lurcher is 18 m old good with all dog,good with all stock.But he just will not stop hunting on. How do i stop this or will he get beter with age?

my mate had a collie x that did this,if she missed the rabbit then she would hunt up round the field for 10 mins and scare everything in,he got rid,i dont think its an easy thing to overcome.good for bushing but no good for lamping.sorry to hear it mate.hopfully someone mite have an idea how to stop it but if they can i havnt herd it.atvb

stop daytime hunting for a start mate and when you take him lamping and he wont come back leave the lamp off a and wait for him to come back when he doe's come back congratulate him for doing so however long he takes a lot of young dogz act like this im sure he will be fine with age good luck mate

thank for the help,i will stop day time hunting.I have just be out with the lamp 3 times,with the lamp he is a lot better
