tikka t3 hunter twist rate

Is there a way to tell a TIKKA T3 hunter twist rate. There are 2 223 versions in 8 or 12 inch twist. Can it be found from the serial number rather than mess about with cleaning rods and markers ?

get the number off the rifle and ask the importer to tell you

You could've found out with a cleaning rod in the time it took you to post this thread

Apart from the fact it is stamped on the barrel, its not that difficult to look down the barrel and work it out...its easy enough to measure the barrel and usually easy enough to count the twist!

Thanks dixyhmr for the info. As they say it's easy when you know ! The cleaning rod method is hit and miss. I would sooner know the right way.
