Nik_B 3,790
This is posh fishing for softies They've got a smart looking lodge that sells nice food and nice coffee with a nice bit of decking overlooking the reservoir. Normally we're man handling half a dozen carrier bags full of sandwiches and flasks half a mile down to the water's edge. Last week I caught a 5 pounder and a couple of 2 pounders and lost 4 in a flurry of activity within 40 minutes. The others caught 4 or 5 each as well. Looking forward to testing out the new lines as well. http://www.arnfield-fly-fishery.com/Facilities.htm Quote Link to post

Nik_B 3,790
Well that was interesting! Last week there were fishing rising everywhere you looked. This week there was a wind coming from the east and all the fish were on the west corner. The wind was much stronger and made casting in to it very hard. Plenty of fish were caught but I drew a blank without getting as much of a single bite all day. The bacon butties were good in the morning though and by the end of the day were were knackered. We stopped for a coffee and a chat in the lodge and warmed our backsides on the wood burner. Shame I didn't catch a fish but it's allways good to get out. Oh and the new dry line was a pleasure to cast when the wind droppped enough Quote Link to post
