winter hare 2
hi whats the best bedding to breed a ferret on.cheers Quote Link to post
moxy 617
I use shavings to put down in the bottom of the bed and run followed by a mixture of good clean straw and meadow hay. Topped off with the odd rabbit carcass for the jill to use as down. Just stick it in and the jill will take and use what she needs. Clean shredded paper is also a good alternative. Avoid sawdust and prepacked hay from places such as jolleys etc, far too dusty and can cause eye and respiratory irritation in both ferrets young and old. always worked for me Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
I use shavings and shredded paper in equal amounts, its absorbent and cheap, and it will have to be absorbent when the kits start to sh*t up the back of your nestbox 2 Quote Link to post
