Bevwallis 7 Posted April 13, 2010 Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 Hi All I am looking for a scope to put onto my .222 and have been looking at a Hawk nighteye but have heard that these rattle to bits if its on a centrefire. I did'nt want to spend a huge amount on a Schmit and Bender as i shall only be using this gun for occasional fox SO here i am asking the advice of you folks as useful advice was given previously on moderator choice. bob.243 8,554 Posted April 13, 2010 Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 Edgar Bros. have good budget scopes, Japanese made, good glass, shock proof etc. my mate has one on his .243 and swears by it, he may shoot up to 50 home load rounds at a time at the range, and it's spot on. Quote Link to post

All answers appreciated! Why pay good money for a centrefire rifle, then Piss arse with a cheap set of mounts and scope, you can get a good set of mounts a S&B scope 2nd hand for around 3 - 400 quid. Its like when you buy a new car.... you wouldnt fit remould tyres to it ??? SAVE your money DONT buy a cheap scope, if you look after them they will last you a life time, I use a 35 year old S & B 6 x 42, far better than the other one i have and its only 3 years old Quote Link to post
