Dog trapped in fox trap survived on rain water

I was 'searching the net' for somemore fox traps and came across this article published in 2009.

Just love the telegraph at the top of the article the dog was in a snare then it was a cage.

how do they know how long it was in the cage?

I have caught three dogs in traps, two in a fox trap and one in a rabbit trap. All my dogs I'm affraid.

i ahave also caught dogs in live traps(concrete pipes with doors)numerous terriers and a beagle(how he fitted in i'll never know!).

how are the doors fit-ed to the pipes as we have loads here.

the easiest is a runner frame(drop door) or a lateral hinge to a post next to the pipe(also difficult to open).
