Trust me you are so wrong. Leaving out your assumptions I am a northern hard drinking Viking. I happen to be living down South with all the Southern Jessies but I will drink you under the table any time.

A hung Parliament is one where neither main party has an overall majority, and a third party holds the balance of power. In practice that would mean Labour backed up by the Lib Dems.   Not to be con

Alex Salmond was on the radio today; and he's starting to sound credible.

I'm in favour of the scotch having autonomy of their own economy, and then, if it works, let 'em have their independence.

The only catch would be that they would not be allowed to sit in both parliaments at the same time, and scotch MP's should not be allowed to vote on matters that do not affect them in the westminster parliament (the hunting act being a classic example).

At least that way, English taxpayers would not have to fund scotch overspending any longer.

Cue a rant from Tom about oil revenue.......... ;)

No need to rant about oil revinue it was found in British waters if and when Scotland gains independance what's left will be in Scottish waters :whistling: including the reserve's that are'nt finanacially viable to exploit at the moment? but future technology will solve that problem!!

Also Scotland has other industries that create massive wealth, science and technilogical industries, whisky, tourisim (people travel from all over the world to see the Iru Bru Loch's the Shortbread Mountains next to the Cairgorms and The Scottish Blend Tea Resevoirs!!

Fortunately we Scots don't see our nationality or identity destined for football match's or bumper sticker its destined for greater things  If the height and strengh of your nationality is only destined for bumper sticker I despair for you!! I always thought England was far better than that!! and set its heights much higher

Tom

By that time the oil will be in European waters and not scottish or british. Nationality is destined for football matches and bumper stickers and nothing more than that.

Tom, you always presume to think that the rest of Scotland shares in your extreme views with regards to independence. last time I read an article on it that included a poll of polls, 2/3 of you were in favour of maintaining the union...

With regards to the general election, I reckon it's time for a radical overhaul of the whole system of government, not just those in power. The whole system is rotten to the core, you can only tart it up so many times, putting a new party in power is akin to putting a new coat of paint onto a wall covered in loose plaster. Sure it looks good for a while, but the same old cracks will come back soon after it's applied...

Your star turn right enough!!,dont try manipulate what i was saying....and dont paraphrase only part of what i stated to try make you look all that, also it was only meant as tongue in cheek...hence the wink but im guessing most rational folk reading it would prob have realised that...i hear this kind of banter directed at the scots all the time but it goes right over the head....now tell me,who has the chip on the shoulder again :hmm:
