Hi King Carp and welcome to our section friend,

The Weihrauch HW 80 is a legend of a rifle in its own right and was very popular in the 90s as a top class hunting rifle and Field Target shooting rifle winning many competitions over and over again.

It has a famed German Weihrauch engineered barrel which is spot on and the brilliant Rekord trigger unit, which is though pretty old now, is one of the best spring pistol trigger units on the market still, only beaten by 1 other rifles trigger unit to my mind.

It responds to tuning very well as does all the full power HW’s and can be upgraded in power easily if you hold the correct and valid FAC.

The rifle is very accurate and will take all UK legal quarry with ease out to full sub 12 FP ranges.

From a former review by Gun Mart on the HW80 here is a quote

“The JSB’s located into the rifling perfectly, and the cloverleafs soon formed. Individual models may vary, but this one just loved them - and with 5 shot groups of just 5/16inch regularly forming, the bunnies had better watch out! At 45yds the groups were 3/4inch, which is highly creditable.â€
