matmorgan 49
whats the benefit of an fac airgun.if you have the license why not just get a rimfire .22??. Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
the advantage is they can be used indoors...barns etc, without the risk of stray bullets and ricochetts.......as the effective killing range is far less than a rim fire. unless you live in ireland then all air rifles require an fac.....so you may as well have more power. atb sean Quote Link to post

SEAN3513 7
in some case's yes !!......probably a bad example one of my permissions is a cemetry and they have an "airgun only" policy...as pellets don't damage the head stones. cheers sean Quote Link to post

Alexisrouzee 6
an FAC airrifle will give you a bit more range and hitting power but like already stated the damage will be more.... not as much as a rimmy but more than 12ftlb air rifle..... with a rimmy tho thats another big step up in range and damage which is sometimes a disadvantage for just say a small paddock or anywhere with a footpath near it (which a firearms officer would have to okay even allowing a rim fire rifle on that land) its a difficult one but i would need to have a very large shoot to justify a FAC rifle of anykind and if i did go FAC it would be either a .177 or .22 rimmy Quote Link to post

Alexisrouzee 6
nice picture of the storm av got the stelth my self but just standerd how is yours modified and is there much of a diffance between the stelth and storm the storm has the 18" barrel instead of the 12" which is the only real difference to be honest, i have custom made wooden fore-grip and pistol grip, high tensile s/s spring, extra heavy custom machined hammer, solid custom made top hat, valve stem and o ring mod on the valve insert.... got a couple of extra mods i want to do but waiting on funds... (24" custom walther match barrel, o ring mod on the breech, fluting to the breech) Quote Link to post
