farmboy99 1
hi all so i just brought a swarvoski 6x42 off here it had mounts on that i couldnt get off due to them being flat head screws and me not having the right scredriver anyway a friend got them off and i put it on my aas400 its good and clear in the middle but around the very edge seems to be blurred? why would this be? also i cant seem to get it so the crosshairs are in focus at the same time as the subject, is this because it's paralaxed for 100 yards or something? any advice would be great thanks tom Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Hi, mate. Yes, what you've got there is really ment for C/F rifles and the PX and focus will be set for much longer ranges than we shoot at. You may get it better with the focus adjuster on the eye-piece but I think you may well strggle with that on an airgun. Best of luck with it. Cheers. Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
Re paralax it ......... Quote Link to post
farmboy99 1
so is that the reason for the blurring round the edges then? how do i reparlax craig? Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
If it's blured the whole time at all ranges, then something's not right. It's a proper quality bit of kit and should be crystal clear. There are places that can re-set the parallax, as Craig's said but I can't help you on that one. Sorry.... It may well be worth your while asking in the opitcs section on here. Maybe someone on there may know. Cheers. Quote Link to post
maty j 6
Some scopes are easy enough to re paralex. Undo the retaining collar and that will leave you to adjust the objective lens as you would a front AO scope. Pop the retaining collar back on and jobs done. Can't say If this Is so on the Swarv but worth a look. Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Farmboy, Them Swarovski Scopes and Zeiss scopes are top class scopes pal and used by the Germans all the time for big game, i.e deer and boar due to their brillian light retaining abilities and crystal clear optics. They are really expensive too and you wont get much change out of £600 for a bog standard one. As has already been said you will need to re set the parallex, depending on the objective lens pal, you may find it easy to do yourself. Si Quote Link to post
riohog 5,751
no parallex adjustment on the 6x42 swarovzki ..but you can make slight adjusment to focus and cross hair thickness by rotating eypeace thats about it min garantee on these scopes are 30 years / send it to dealer !! ive got 2 and had no probs in 20 years Quote Link to post
