mattydski 560
I always use a boreguide on my centrefires, but dont have one small enough for my rimfires. They are essential in my opinion if you intend to keep your rifle healthy for a long period of time. Quote Link to post

blackfox 9
When cleaning a rifle does everybody use a bore guide? I use a bore guide on my bolt action rifles, you dont want any crud (solvents, oils, unburnt powder) dropping down into your trigger mechanism, and could therefore interfere with trigger movements and can just jam a trigger. Also there is the potential damage you could be doing to the throat of the barrel, and also stoping crud falling into your magazine compartment.. For the cost of the id suggest to get one .......there are also "universal" ones avaliable to suit a few different rifles/calibres with interchangable ends. Hope this helps Quote Link to post
