stroller 341
I dont want to jump through the hoops for a FAC so i want a good reliable accurate spring air rifle, not against the gas guns just prefer the spring type. What telescopic sight is good in combination? Any advice is gratefully received,I have never shot an airgun as a serious pest control weapon but they seem equal to the task in mind Regards Stroller Quote Link to post

JackReid 35
With 500 quid you can have anything really.. Top springers are Weihrauch HW series, Air arms pro sport and TX200, and also a few more I cant think of right now! Jack Quote Link to post
timc20xe 73
if your budget is £500 , then get a precharge , so much better to shoot , and then you can get a multi shot aswell , cheers tim Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Stroller, Some springers that you may want to have a look at with your budget i would say are as follows: Weihrauch HW97K mark 2 Thumbhole - This is a dream machine. AirArms Pro Sport or Air Arms TX200 mark 3, both very good and accurate rifles. Weihrauch HW97K - without the thumb hole stock. Weihrauch HW95K - Light weight but very accurate and full power. Weihrauch HW77 Weihrauch HW98 Weihrauch HW90 Webley Longbow Weihrauch HW80K Webley Stingray II XS BSA Lightning BSA Supersport All the above rifles are full power between 11 and 12 FP and kill all UK legal vermin. For scopes i would look for either a 3-9x40 mm or a 3-9x50mm model as they are cheap and can be used for all kinds of vermin control. A scope brand from Niko Stirling, Hawke, BSA, Tasco, SMK or from JS Ramsbottom are all useful scopes. The later 3 brands being the cheapest. Being cheap though they are still very useful scopes.
