Hi, I am applying for a FAC. I have had a sgc for over a year and am now 15. I am a bit confused about the land tho :icon_redface: . My uncle has had a rifle for around 20 years and i shoot with him, I want to know if i could use the same land as he has on his licence?

Yes you can, as-long as you have permission on that piece of land then just write it down on the application.

 

I would also write on a piece of paper that you have been shooting with your uncle with rifles, and try and get a letter from him to say that you have been out with him. This will help towards the application.

I would also like to know how i would note down that i have a mentor, do i get him to sign a letter or should i just tell the officer in the interview? I also want to know what does a mentor have to do, does he have to come with me every time i shoot and for how long?

He will have to do whatever your FEO wants him to do.

 

And Yes, in principle he will have to accompany you every time you go out until you are signed off.

 

Commonly 6 months AND 6 Deer, but there are no specific rules, your FEO will tell you what is expected from him!
