Problem with a Daystate Mk 3.

I have been out today with a borrowed rifle. I fired on a couple of rabbits and appeared to miss completely. After the third shot I got an air hiss coming back to the bolt end of the barrel. I thought something was wrong but didn't know what. I ended up with about 4-5 pellets stuck up the barrel. Question is, how do I get them out. Tried knocking them back to the bolt end of barrel, without success. Then I tried to take the barrel off the gun, with no success. Anyone got any ideas?

I've had 3 pellets stuck up one of my guns, and it was b***ard to get them out, so it may be a gunsmiths job for yours

OUCH....what a bugger!!

 

Unfortunatly by trying to knock them out, you have proberbly wedged them tighter in the barrel.

 

Like Stealthy say's, proberbly better off at the gunsmith's.

I spoke to a gunsmiths regarding stuck pellets, he told me if they can't coax them out they have to heat the barrel and pour them out!

 

Not something I would like to try!! Hope you get it sorted.

Hi again Ian.

 

Just had a look around.

 

Apparently, if you find a piece of brass bar, just under the calibre size, you can drill a hole in the end of the bar, and hard solder a drill bit in the end.

 

Add a "T" piece on the other end to turn the bar.

 

The drill protuding from the end of the bar should be no longer than two pellets!

The idea being, you drill the pellets out( BY HAND ) one at a time, in bits.

 

 

 

Hope that makes sense buddy, and helps.

Hi all. Thanks for the replies. I managed to borrow a cleaning rod and tapped them all out. Phew. I was getting worried.

One question though. How come some pellets are suitable for one rifle and not another. They are all .22.

Most pellets are suitable.......just not FIVE at time

diff barrals like diff pellets oh and that gas noise you talked about you might want to check you seals.
