Which scope for my new .223 cz rifle?

Recommended Posts

I have just boought a new cz 527 chambered in .223. Had it sent off for screwcutting and bought a mod for it, Primary use of foxes and muntjac, so going to be pu7ttin 60grain soft points through it. Just wondered what you all thought on a scope for the job.

thanks in advance james

depends on what you have to spend if your after deer and fox then a nice fixed mag s&b would be good. i perfer more mag myself. and you can allways set the mag to what you want.

i think the cz 527 has a 1:12 twist mate,which favours a lighter bullet,anywhere from 40 to 55gr is preferred,

The CZ is a good rifle, mine is excellent. With scopes, you need to beware a little. I've not been able to get Leupolds on there with the right eye relief, just about got my 6.5-20 on OK, but it's only just. Tried a Nikon Monarch, which was great but bolt got in the way. S & B was OK though.
