do people think this is the best way to get a dog fit. never really done much with mine but have been the last few nights as my cars been broke so have to walk to the fields. cheers.

did it for years bud great for the dogs and yourself :thumbs:

not too good for me as im trying to bulk up for the summer and my metabolism is really high lol. but at least il be fit i suppose.

been up the walls lately with work and am wrecked when i get in so the other night i decided to drive out to a country road fcuk the two lurchers out and drive two miles up and two down this country road ,and had it done in a fraction of the time too so come september i will be doing it a lot

Road walking keeps the nails down.. toughens the feet. and is also good to get a dog/puppy associated with fast flowing traffic... but it cannot beat the good old hunting/free running technique ... atb stabba

once the feilds are cut and the stubbles left , they get run 2 to 3miles a nite steady on the odd country road to ,titens them up and i like them to be up on there toes ,before run them ,for real ands once there running fit they get gallops on the beach etc ,road work does do them well to keep them fit and teached them to trot by the jeep car etc under control or push bike
