ferrets nails

was just wandering if you lads n lass clip your ferrets nails. ive just noticed that my ferrets front nails are quite long while the back ones are short.they have a concrete base in there court witch i thought would keep em down??????

I clip my ferrets nails reguarly....a wee spot of ferretone stops them wriggling too much

I clip mine as well if i have no ferretone i put a tiny bit of olive oil on there tummys & as they devour it i clip away , i did there nails this afternoon & it took 2 mins no fuss & struggle

i cut mine every couple of weeks

I only cut mine in the summer time there out plenty in the winter to keep then down and they dont need to trimmed right down theres more than rabbits in burrows

how the hell does a ferrets nails stay down when they are worked hard or not ????? rabbits live in earth burrows how does mud keep nails down .... use your finger and thumb and scruff the ferret the same as you would a dog this renders them lifeless ... you can clip away to your hearts content .........

i find the more you cut them the more they grow, a mate of mine has never cut his and there not long at all
