welshtyke 0
I still have not been out properly. I need to get the hounds desensitised to sheep. One of the best ways I have been told is to let them loose with a ram. I am all for this but I need a friendly farmer who may help. Help required. Quote Link to post

Saho-man 50
Aye. I'm in monmouthshire also. Where abouts are you? Could maybe take you out sometime. atb Jai. Hi Jai I have had nearly 4 months with my dogs now I thought it best to get to know them a bit more before I went out with them. The longer you have them I feel they need days out in the field. We have been walking them quite a lot to improve their fitness. The older bitch may scent something but the younger dog I am not sure about. I am in Undy between Newport and Chepstow, so if you are still up for a day out that would be good. Reagrds John good idea.. at least they will come back when u call them lol Quote Link to post
welshtyke 0
I am going through the process in getting my two desensitised to sheep, then going to go up to Leadon Vale. In addition if anyone is prepared to take a novice out on a jaunt when my hounds have been done I would be most grateful. Edited November 22, 2011 by welshtyke Quote Link to post
