paulk73 151
i saw a bird today that ive never seen before. im not right good with birds of prey except the more common ones. this bird was big, was soaring, it had big broad wings with finger like feathers at the tips and had a sort of inverted v shapped tail. it was i think as big if not bigger than a buzzard. but deffo not a buzzard. any ideas what this bird was? cheers guys. also the bird was in a quite built up area, but not far away from open land, there was also a football pitch near by. and was wondering if someone could have been useing this bird to maybe scare pidgeons or something away from the football ground? trappa 518
Agreed. The inverted v shaped tail sounds like a red kite. I saw my first wild one a couple of months ago too! Quote Link to post
