riohog 5,721
you need to seperate them .or you will end up with one dog ripped up , its like this ...if you only got room for one dog ,,you only have one !!! Quote Link to post
stroller 341
Sounds like the bull breeding has come out? Its a long process and sometimes it can never be settled where you can ever kennel them together. and working them together will always be out as the jealousy issue will start a riot. split them up and you will need to try the ceasar milan approach its all about pack status dropping both of them into submission poses and working through the issue but defo split them up Quote Link to post
BBHLFC 0
cheers lads the floor space is big enough but even in the motor they are at it. ive had 1st crosses and never had this issue i just thought the pup would submit down to the older dog at least for a few more month. ive seen the alpha dogs just growl them down but this is different. Greyhounds are powerful dogs, bit of bull, collie, etc just had to it. My 1x colliexgrey Bryn as a soft temp, wont start a fight, but he is strong fecker and like most working lurchers, they can make mess of any dog. Not worth the risk mate (separate them) Quote Link to post

ferreter.al 22
been looking after my mates 7 month old pup for a few weeks, she been kenneled up with my 18month old sal, bull, grey, shes a bit snappy around food and always put the older dog in his place but went up to kennel this morning and she had a hole in her face where he had her, seperated them this morning and cleaned her up,not too bad but could of been worse.my dog never shown any agression around food or other dogs but he must of been sick of her, atvb Quote Link to post
hogdog 61
Young dogs will always try their luck with trying to become dominant, once they've established dominance or decided they'll have to back down then things should get back to normal but I wouldn't leave them unattended together until you're sure the pecking order has been established, if you're not sure you can trust them 100% then don't risk it.
