Hi all I'm new to this game I'm ment to be picking a patterdale up from my local rescue kennels, will be used mainly bushing and ratting. The staff at the kennels say dogs round about 2years if I was to try him to ground aswel would that be a good age to start him any information Will be much apprechiated cheers.

I have had lurchers in the past but neva been on with terriers few off mates have lurchers so will be out bushing with them as for try him to ground would be with Charlie. Was just looking for some tips that's all

two years is a ideal time to start mate in my opinion but dont expect to much to soon from the dog do u now if it comes from a working background? dont forget a locater mate atb

Thanks a lot for that snow man very helpful.I have no info on dogs back ground as its from rescue kennels, dog looks well also good stamp about it for size will get picture up when I get him cheers atb.

understand now. good luck in your new venture i now hunt with beagles, only 3 years in and learning every day.still got one old terrier though.
