hees got o good bitches at moment phoebes daughters thrown like mother , and a dog from ben hardaways kennels called cowboy , both all at the 26 27 mark ,but strong and real dogs ,over the holiday they caut every day on some good jacks and afew coyotes ,one the grand course , etc ,dont no when he is going to breed, this summer i know for sure ,any way the real die hard hunters out coursing twice a week or three over by dont suffer silly crosses or soft dogs as they dont catch in the dead of winter on strong desert game thats for sure ,we have turned into a nation of dog shows ,racing dogs, pet lurchers, greyhounds rescue dogs etc a far cry from the lurcher of a few decades ago ,shame realy,

it would be nice to get a big bitch mate they are as handy as a young male ive got very good dogs they make 26 27 ideal for what we get up to ,it wouldnt be aproblem to get apup but what about the usa immagraition etc

i have to disagree saw some of smaller stag crosses 26 27 my freind has they would be decent over here but no better than some of the better working dogs ive saw ,some are like strong greyhounds but can run 2 and 3 plus minites on a strong jackrabbit ,over the last ten years of hunting i see dogs over there that would be more useful than some here ,but its along haul to ge one over ,one thing i do like with my freind dutch salmons dogs they have good feet speed , a bit aggresion , and typey they beet salukis hands down , for coursing over there , they beat galgos they are very good dogs, the bitches come in at 26 plus ideal size for some areas ,a dog would be good on the heather and hills were afew freinds keeper ,there smooth coated and broken,thdre hardier than some saluk crosses ive saw, more bone and attitude and better built than some deerhoundy types , good wind his best one ive saw, course a jack rabbit for four minutes phoebe was her name then ten minutes later they piled into a coyote, there a place at my fire for one of that type the big ones well to big for to be useful over here but the lighter gyps well good dogs for sure ,staghounds com ein all sorts of sizes ranging from 26 to 30 but what i did notice they had balance wind and feet , like a good running dog should have long backed etc ,ideal nite time dog for me and some mates ,and others ,there are god dogs here ,but it takes years to get then usaly ,ive always found some of the saluk bitches here throw small for me , and the collie type sometimes small for me , the deerhound bitches throw taller but were do you get one to compete with a good saluki type

mate new to this site and gained alot of info off just one post. hope most are like this.

jonny if a mans got a good dog ill shake the mans hand and ask how he got it or how he bred it , if i see adog i like ille tel the man , if i see whats to me shite for running the big land or testing nites on fast qaurry or daytime bolting rabbs etc,ille say good dog but to date and ive had a few up my way only saw one or two dogs that would be in my kennel , so i only see it is it is and jonny what depth do you no and hunt to say i talk crap no alot more and done alot more than alot of men and no show pony or in it for the short haul , to me agood dog man hunts breeds his own stock works them and tries for better , anything less and well ,your like most by out a paper , what do you call agood dog jonny

Whin not saying everything you say is crap far from it!When i can decipher what you're trying to say you do talk some sense....what i find annoying is the way you talk a breed up in one breath then shoot it down in the next

Your a well travelled man and you've been about a long time you should've seen a few good dogs(and owned some no doubt)As to what depth i hunt probably to much to put on an open forum

ye you put my pal on again i told you i like him a while ago hope hees getting betr and more agile with expierence and age had one 28 but was very handy for hiss ize was nota bolting rabbit dog but done well at nite and in the day very simliar to him sol was his name agoodd og in any mans standard

i only shoot dogs down not breeds if i think there on to bum up a breed then hey presto there a litter for sale the same breed ,to me what it can do in the feild counts ,asif it can do the nessasary allround work they were bred for then a less taxing home or to the local vet ,same with ferrets ,ans lamping asilly fe rabbits most mongrels can do that even my worse dog ive had could catch a rabbit ,gave him away to a woman as a pet ,i mean me if the dog doesnt do it for me usaly in its first season why keep him,the dog game isnt easy so when peole put pups up great dog i think going away ,how the fech can apup be great ,to much to learn to be classed good only had i would say to or three great dogs one a collie type pup ive got now hees very good and one i had several years ago , the rest could do the job only beacause i know the game and were to catch it , all this nice dog great dog stuff , id pure utter bullshit
