gringo40 13
Hi All I'm very new to joys of hunting with an air rifle, just got myself a Rapid7 Mk 1, always used shotguns untill now. My question is. For a first lamp is the Logun ultralight lamp kit the kind of thing to start out with. There's one on ebay ending today, it's at about £38 at the moment. If not what should I be looking for. All advise gratefully received Carl P.S No going on ebay and nicking it off me Edited April 7, 2010 by gringo40 Quote Link to post

I have one in the cupboard that hasnt been used for about 4 years. I use a cluson lazerlite with scope mount and red filter. If you still fancy the one on ebay but it goes for silly money, i would be prepared todo you a deal. ATB Kyle Quote Link to post

Marksman 934
Deben Tracer for definate mate but make sure you get the pro version with the dimmer switch if you get one.....not only will it save on battery power but it wont spook the rabbits as much as the bright light Darryl 1 Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
i got the standard one as i am on a budget and as long as you put the rabbits on the edge of the beam you'll be OK but it takes some practice. also the light is really low when you put on the red filter, only just enough to see light up a rabbits eye. How much should I pay for the Tracer setup Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
the deben tracer atom pro kit is about £120 pounds. the much cheaper deben tracer atom standard kit is about £70. i bought the standard one because i'm on a budget and as long as you put the rabbit on the edge of th lamp or ue a filter you'll be fine without the dimmer. slingshot82 32
A dimmer can be easily fitted to any lamp, all you need is a variable resistor (from maplins or rs components etc), soldering iron, a bit solder and some insulating tape/heatshrink. ATB Kyle Quote Link to post
