Recommended Posts

:clapper: Did you actually think that 3 rabbits in 50 runs was for real  If FLINT08 had any real need to big these dogs up i think he would've been more creative....he would've told the truth  but then you lot wouldn't have believed that

its possible if your stupid enough to use a half malamute as a running dog.ywee are sending out the wrong message to inexperienced lads who are easy prey for puppy farmers and peddlars

But your forgetting one thing young fella....these dogs are not for inexperienced lads,Oh no

guessed.

your honest account is enough to steer anyone in their right mind to an effective lurcher

so you are taking a uneducated guess.

educated in catching rabbits with lurchers and i know a big heavy dog like that wont catch many rabbits and youv just confirmed my doubts by saying 3 rabbits out of 50 or was it 80 yee cant really decide.smells like bull mate tbh

23 ,well its true what they say you cant put a old head on young shoulders...the litter sister to the dog had 23 rabbits in hour odd and he only stopped because he couldnt carry them on his own,and the dog has had 20s before i think hes taking piss mate with saying they had only 3 rabbits and 80 runs.

23 rabbits in hour great fair play but 3 out of 50 regardless of age is poor for any standards a non lurcher could do that with ease, maybe its the owner letting the 3/50 dog down.

Jesus f*cking christ. . . . have you people never heard of sarcasm? Your just embarrassing yourselves. You really think Flint08 would keep the dog on and breed another litter if they were a total waste of time? It's funny Kevin that you are so so keen to comment on something that you have never ever seen or even dreamt existed.

I remember people telling me that Saluki's were shit because they were stupid and untrainable. They were wrong. Some are but many many are not. Just like many men could take many malamutes and many greyhounds and breed many litters of shit but one flint08 has taken one malamute (which he has brought on and trained into a good hunting dog in its own right) and one good greyhound and created a handful of truly excellent dogs, perfectly suited to the job they are intended for, whilst also making cracking all round dogs and great companions. He didnt say they were the best dogs in the world, or the best x in general, he's just saying hes happy and surprised by how good these PARTICULAR dogs have turned out, especially when considering that most of us wouldn't have imagined that this x could work.

HOWEVER a brief note -The Malamute is a descendant of dogs of the Mahlemuts tribe of upper western Alaska. These dogs had a prominent role with their human companions – working, hunting, and living alongside them. The interdependent relationship between the Mahlemut and their dogs fostered prosperity among both and enabled them to flourish in the inhospitable land above the Arctic Circle.

The Alaskan Malamute is a member of the Spitz group of dogs, traced back 2,000 to 3,000 years ago to the Mahlemuits tribe of Alaska.

"In shape, the Paleolithic dogs most resemble the Siberian husky, but in size, however, they were somewhat larger, probably comparable to large shepherd dogs," stated Germonpré, a paleontologist at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. This description of recently-found dog remains (30,000 years old) fits the Alaskan Malamute very closely. Though not scientifically confirmed, the Alaskan Malamute may be the closest living relative to the "First Dog".

whats the crack with half of youse , always analising things, lying about dogs selling pups etc , if a dogs good its a good dog if not its no good anfd not worth breeding further ,the guy breededs alitter of malemute greyhounds ,now if they are no good a waste of time if they make good allround lurchers then its a succses ,the dogs are barely ayear old and are still got a season or two to be classed as good dogs and abit of milage to go , whats the bickerin all about at times

the bit about the malamute is right out of a book mate ,and they greyhound i do no saw him several times put to adonkey he throws a decent pup put to a good working lurcher even better ,now im not saying the malemute is a donkey , if the dogs do what they are bred for there a sucses if not back to sqaure one ,but no need for myths etc ,to me ther simliar to the germnan shepherd crosses ive saw and probaly simliar if you breed working belgain shepherds to big nobby you would get good, as he throws good pups ,

well thats good but to me a dog at a year is never going to be tested to the max , once there had aseason or two then there tested and hunted coursed all sorts of land and qaurry , cant do that properly with a young dog mate,

flint08 could you explain to me one thing have these dogs been tested on there "main quarry" on all types of land, not just wooded areas with the odd field in between. also areas were there main quary has a good lay between it and the dog not just them finding on there own of the lead or being sent into groups of there chosen quarry. i dont dought these dogs just woundering atb

people are scared of change, just so happens flint08 has taken a gamble and hit the jack pot. With what these dogs have done i think they have been tested to the max.

they are steady they know there job and there doing OK,iv seen worse, the differance between a good dog and a bad one is a very fine line

not to comment on the cross as iv never seen one work but i will say there is a big difference and not a fine line between a good and bad dog imo
