Personally id put Pele,Best and probably Ruud Gullit all above Messi.....no reason why he couldnt be the best ever over time as he certainly has everything,that said id put Ronaldo at least on par with him. gnasher16 30,279 Posted April 8, 2010 Report Share Posted April 8, 2010 Id put Maradona in the top 5 but definately not the best,ok he was in a world cup winning team and won the league for Napoli virtually single handed....but lets not forget he was one of the first of the generation of out and out roll around the floor cheats,the goal he scored against us in the hand of god game went down as an all time great goal,bollocks was it...every f****r was frightened to touch him ! With a ball at his feet he was fantastic,but did he have the speed,work rate or heading ability of some of the other greats....no.....
