Hello Terrier section bye.gif

Excuse my ignorance but is there such a thing as a 'Poachers Pocket JRT'?

I have just seen (on a rescue site) a pedigree Poachers pocket JRT.....................................?

There is no chance of it being a pedigree anyway. Correct me if im wrong anybody but you cant get a pedigree JRT can you?

yea mate the parson russell terrier is now pedigree, ie show dogs kennel club registered!!!!

The parson russell terrier isnt the same as the jack russell terrier mate

is it not? tel them in the jack russell terrier club of great britain cos im sure they be pleased. what u mean mate is stumpy legged white bodied terriers dont you and not jack russell terriers!!!

They arent the same, the breed standard is slightly different.

the jrtcgb and parson russell terrier breed standards are near enough identical, i know of parson dogs being used on jrtc bitches and vice versa. theres no difference at all to be fair mate.

Theres only one way to find out whos the real russell..................................... FFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHTTTT

I guess he ment to the FCI JRT, didn't him? The long bodied, short legged type.

The British KC doesn't recognise the name and type, but all over the world there is a breed called Jack Russell terrier and yes they are pedigreed.

Haha, im not arguing mate, maybe I should have said in britain there is no jack russell terrier pedigree. And I know there isnt much difference at all in the breed standard. But I said JRT, you mentioned the parson russell, and I already knew that was recognised by the kennel club. ATB mate, cheers
