Hi All

Been using snares and fenn mk6 for rabbit control and am considering getting some bodygrips as an experiment (have never used one) anyone have an opinion one way or the other on fenns or bodygrips or is it each suits a different scenario?

"Horses for Courses"....

Thanks :) is there anything a bodygrip would be suited for that would give me an edge over the fenn or vice versa?

Bodygrips are excellent for runs, for example through hedges, fences, or longer grass, like you will see in the next month or so.... Only downside is by law they need tunnels and this doesn't help when trapping runs...

for me this question can be answered easily.......fenns are simpler to operate where as bobygrips are much more versatile,no-one any better or worse than the other, to use a combination of both in the right situation would certainly put more rabbits in the bag,atb

i think this has bin discused beore , but here goes again , what is defined as a tunnel ? hole thru grass/cover ?

Well my understanding is a tunnel stops non target species getting at the trap...SO a pile of flints on a hedge bottom provided it can be put inside and the entrance restricted = tunnel ...Run through the grass when anything can flatten it / move it out of the way / step through it nope.

fair enuff , but the law states , within the overhang of a natural or artificial tunnel , so regardless of weather or not the grass can be flattened i still think the trap would be set within the law, obviously common sense would tell you not to set it there
