SeanTheHawker 0
Friday 20th of oct Me and a few guys from the club went to a remote island of the west of Ireland that was overrun by rabbits, we arrived at about 6 pm and got some dinner, unpacked etet etc, and headed out lamping at about 8, early eh? There was 8 of us in all! Tho I got them staying back 30 yards, but they still made a hell of a noise, oen wasn’t off the fone lol. Went into a field directly behind the house, a rabbit was moving through a bunch of nettles and rolf was quick it to catch it. Not the best of flights, infact it was just really a drop from the fist lol. But it sureley got rolf into gear. Continued up the field and had 1 or 2 more slips, no success, then seen a rabbit about 30 yards away, slipped rolf and he caught it about 60 yards away. Decent flight I say . took him up of this one again and decided to go for the three, after all we had only been out 10 minutes and ive yet to get a double on the lamp back home on a whole nioghts lamping lol. Crossed over a little mound in the field, and there sat a squatter, rolf never manages to catch ones squatting, as they bolt at the very last second, but this time as it moved he got a footing to it, by the arse tho immideiatly it lept about 2 feet of the ground and started running, rolf still attached, big open ground so nothing for him to really anchor himself to, eventually it brought him to a set where he got an anchor and I dispatched the rabbit and gave him a feed up. All within 15 minutes and about 200 yards from the house lol First rabbit Second rabbit And last but not least, third rabbit And yous might be interested to see this, all the rabbits rolf caught over the weekend, 3 on Friday 3 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday, wasn’t out long at all, and only 2 were flushed by ferrets. Thursday the 26th of oct Went out to some land of my mates., not knowing the amount of rabbits or the size of the farm I decided to feed rolf of the first kill, which happened to be the first flight lol disappointed tho and would have liked my mate to see a but more action, but rolf weren’t complaining lol rabbit number 9 on the lamp now Quote Link to post
