I've found that with some of my lurcher bitches, whilst they love all young pups before they have their own, once they've had their own litter they become a lot less tolerant towards pups in general: having said that it sometimes works the other way round too! steveS.Yorks 161 Posted April 6, 2010 Report Share Posted April 6, 2010 Seen a mates bitch lay with cubs and not harm them at all,seemed to be mothering them and she was as close to an 100% digging dog you could want,she wouldnt hold off an adult though in cub or not,never heard of that before.
