thewindcallsmyname. 3 Posted April 6, 2010 Report Share Posted April 6, 2010 I had a bedlington cross, 24",in a competition he jumped 8ft 11" without a run up, straight on to the top of the obstacle, he was beaten by a little whippet cross that ran at ,and scrambled up about 14ft! I think it was. my dad cousin had the world record for this event with a dog called stage.. Quote Link to post

Having a bit of a problem with his jumping, as you can see, he is more than capable of getting the height and will jump smallish fences/gates etc just for fun, however, when i ask him to jump something bigger (5 bar gate) he mis-judges it and catches his back legs on it which send him into a tumble somersault over it!! he doesnt make contact with the gate with his back feet to push himself off, is there anything i can do to correct this?? (sorry for hi-jacking your thread, just seems a good one to ask advice on ) Quote Link to post

(sorry for hi-jacking your thread, just seems a good one to ask advice on ) maybe not, he,ll get the knack, i start mine as pups from the kennel so they have to jump to feed, it does,nt always work, some never jump, but as time goes on they get more confident, some are natural some are,nt.somegood pics there lads.
