natter79 17
hello all everyone know's the story of moby dick and I think everyone has their own moby dick whether it is a fox/hare (pre ban), that was always just out of range on just a touch too quick into the hedge. well my moby dick is a rabbit not just any rabbit but a black rabbit, the only one i've seen round my way. it started when my dog was just 4 month old, there's a little conservation area near me that's dog walkers paradise so it's good to socialise a pup round that way and because there are so many people around you never normally see any game, again a good area to get a pup's head together. so one day i'm walking over the field to this spot and the pup is off lead a couple of yard's away just sniffing around when he just start's run flat out (well flat out for a four month old ) so i look infront of him and see a small black rabbit (which totally took the piss out of the pup and then just hopped into the hedge). now this went on for a few month's at different time's of the day (morning/noon/night) this feckin rabbit is always there to embarrass me and my dog (i'm sure it see's us coming and tell's it's mate's "watch these stupid tw*ts). so anyway my dog is 18mnths old now and becoming a decent worker (apart from this one rabbit ), this morning it's lashing down and really cold both me and the dog just couldn't be arsed be we went for our usual bit of exsercise, i get into a field and there in the middle is the rabbit, we're down wind and behind it so i let the dog go and he's away, turn one strike and miss, turn two strike and miss then turn three his head is down and he's almost got it then from feckin nowhere up pop's a brown rabbit and the dog hesitates and both are gone, f*ckin stupid black rabbit and his stupid f*ckin brown mate I'm never gonna get this rabbit atb natter and I know the chances of this black rabbit being the same one that's been winding the dog up for over the year are slim but it's easier to be angry at one rabbit than thinking there is a conspiracy of black rabbit's whose exsistence it to wind me and me dog up atb natter anyone else have a fisher mans tale of the one that got away?
