We have a few light force lamps and all of them have gone lampy, if its not the bulb its the trigger, if its not the trigger its the connector to the battery.

just rewire them easy and if done correct should last years

Think you will find that bulbs go in most lamps, but the wiring on thr lightforce is bolix, take couple of feet of the strimmer and rewire the lamp. Job oxo.

been using a deben tracer max for a while now and i must say its a great lamp never had a problem with it (over 3/4years now).........but must admit the beam isnt as long range as the striker

I have seen loads of posts with people saying that they have had to rewire the lightforce lamps, if there that bad why do people buy them>? Also if everyone who has had to rewire them placed a complaint surely the company would consider a better design to keep people coming back ?

a few of us have complained to lightforce, i sent them a real sarcastic e mail a few year back, so did others from these sites

 

they did reply to my email, appologising for the problems, but not alot more.

 

 

in fact it would be a good idea for evryone that has had probs, emailing them again

they are cr*p. the only reason people bye them is because there is no other beam that comes close so we have to put up with the fact that you have to fix them every time we go out.

to start with we was trying to bodge them now we just rewire the whole lamp, but tape the wire ridgid were it leaves the lamp handle as it rocks back and forward as you walk thats were they normally were out,

had a feeling the lamps beam was what kept people buying, its a shame the company doesnt listen and improve the lamps

HAD MY 170 LESS THAN A WEEK AND THE DIMMER HAS GONE, COULD NOT TAKE IT BACK AS I HAD CUT THE CIGAR PLUG OFF.

HAVE BY PASSED IT NOW, WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER ONE. ALSO THE QUALITY DOES NOT SEEM TO BE AS GOOD AS MY OLD 140.

That sure looks more heavy duty than the normal wire I'll try it.
