Changing moderators

Happy Easter all !

 

I own a Rim fire and currently have a saks moderator fitted to it.

 

Im looking to change the moderator to possible a wildcat over the barrel type.

 

Therefore is this an easy thing to achieve from a fire arms license point of view ? ive been told that i would need a variation ?

A FAC moderator is classed as a firearm and has to be listed on your licence as such, yes you need a variation.

Sell/dispose of correctly your SAK. One for one variation of your FAC to clear the slot. Purchase new mod and let firearms know within 7 days.

Yep, if it already lists on your FAC, which it should of course, you need a variation.

 

Seems absolutely daft to me and a waste of everyones time and money, but then again, aren't so many things when it comes to firearms!!

Why do you want to change the moderators? I reckon they do a pretty good job. I know SS can be a bit dodgy but bless him, he does his best.
