I believe the carp you guys have over there are the same species as ours, but they are classed as an invasive species in the US because they've taken over so many of your freshwater courses, I've seen a few programs about it. They are so successful there because of the amount of food available, and they just hoover it all up and grow to massive sizes and out compete the native fish. I saw one program where they were bow fishing for them, and to see some of the massive ones killed in such a way would have made our carp anglers cry! Quote Link to post Share on other sites
