Guest Deerstalker
Nice pups mate and well reared. How did you get on with the tail docking and is it easy down your way to get a vet to do the job. What method of find and notify do you teach your dogs when out stalking. Quote Link to post

Guest Deerstalker
Do smooth vizslas make good stalking dogs or do they suffer with there coats. Quote Link to post
Garypco 2
Do smooth vizslas make good stalking dogs or do they suffer with there coats. mine are out constantly hawking or rough shooting, beating never have a problem with coats, although they dont get on very well in extreme cold, thats the one downside they do have!!! Guest Deerstalker
I was thinking of a new dog and really liked the look of the smooth vizsla. But as a deerstalker my dogs would with out doubt be subjected to real cold weather for long periods. Also deer stalking has times when dogs would be required to stay in the one position for hours at a time eg under high seats. May be that is why the wirehaired vizsla is starting to be used more and more for deerstalking. I will stick to what i have mate. I Hope all of your pups find good kind working homes they look good.
