paddywack 3
Just got in after a dissapointing morning shooting over decoys on field of drilled beans. I have been averaging 20 the last 5 times ive been out with the pigeons coming in a treat to my pattern but today they were just not interested, just flying straight over. I am in the same hide and same pattern of coys as the last few times the only difference is that today it was rainning, can anyone tell me if this can make a difference. Quote Link to post

The thing that I have found is that one day can be ok but go back the next day, same weather same decoys same time same hide same everything and it can be a poor result, but thats why we do it. If we wanted them on cue then we can go to a clay pigeon range cant we. I dont think there is anything cast in stone about pigeon shooting I just enjoy getting out. Read about other folks experiences as well. Quote Link to post
chimp 299
rain droplets on the decoys fella , they stick out like a sore thumb and dont look right to the birds , if you get a break in the rain go out and give the deeks a quick shake. Quote Link to post

adam scott 1
good point! but i have also found that decoying in the same place one day to the next never serves. i try to move about alot more than just relying on one spot to provide all the time! after all would u go back to the spot you had been shot at yeasterday?? na but give it a month or so then i might shoot the same spot!
