Rabbithunter 456
went out with my mate and his newly acquired Sako Finnlight. What a brilliant rifle. Its nice & light. Anyway we were sat in the highseat. We were only there for about 45 mins when this buck appeared. Quote Link to post

But with numerous other stalkers on the land, my mate decided to take it there & then Its sod's law, that once its cleaned off, then it'll never be seen again Quote Link to post
liongeorge 7
Am another one who can't shoot them in velvet. can understand the pressure if there are others about. Quote Link to post
john robbo 30
I have a finnlite and its brill, should have had 1. 20 years ago. I also think ts a shame to take a 7 pointer in velvet, hes got that big without getting shot, maybe the other guys were leaving him to clean. then its 1st come 1st serve. let him cleaan then get there first. You could...but judging by the photo the tips havnt come hard enough yet, therefore it'll just become brittle and slowly fall away an inch Edited April 3, 2010 by tommydeer Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
lads, i never shot it, I dont own a rifle or even a F.A.C I just 'tag' along with my mate now and then. YES, it would of been nice if it was in hard antler, however, i couldnt give 2 monkeys as it is not going on my wall, velvet or not On another note, i was out walking the dog earlier on and was watching 4 roe. 2 bucks a doe and a yearling. The biggest buck was still in velvet, and he looks a cracker i'll watch him over a few weeks, and when he is clean and coloured up a bit, i may just invite my mate for a stalk on my ground [i will check with the farmer first, but im sure he wont mind as he HATES the deer] Quote Link to post
