That and what you put into it in terms of rearing/training/nutrition.... If Top Honcho was mated to all and sundry (not sure if he was or whether there was any 'quality control')then stands to reason that 1000's wouldn't be any good on the track. But even if champion mated to champion a lot still would depend on rearing, no? all the old greyhound men always said 70per cent of genes of a pup come from damside.
