poacher3161 1,766
I have had lurchers all my life that some i MYSELF would class as allrounders of edible quarry as the fox was never on the list of prioritys with most of the lads and dogs i have hunted with could never see the point in wasteing the dogs energy on something i could neither sell nor eat and seen as most of my hunting was poaching it would be a case of killing something just for the sake of it. I have seen this x work, and they are very good. Some of this x will take fox, but as been said the lads who run this x didnt really bother with foxes, it was most times for the pot. If foxes were to be taken more regular as well, then maybe had a bit of bull blood, as they have best prey drive for that quarry. Quote Link to post

scotty2306 37
there is no dog that can do everything or else everyone would have one thats my oppinion i think you got to try and get the dog that best suits your needs,i have a bitch i would class as a alrounder for what i do marks, works with ferret, lamps or daytime rabbit hare deer and fox all preban she does know when there is a pheasant but aint caught one yet but to be honest my main hunting is lamping Quote Link to post
stroller 341
Im convinced that with a good breeding program set up by someone who is good at this stuff that a working strain of greyhound can be produced and a good grey will kill anything Quote Link to post
