Some of ye might remember that during the First Irish Lamping Competition my son took a heart attach and ended up out of action for a considerable time. Well after many months of sheer worry and tests, and having been fitted with a pace maker, all of this at the tender age of twenty was a blow to us all.

As you can see from the picture is well on the road to recovery.

happy days.

Good for him mate, i've had a really crap 15 months or so..... And due to some worries, have let some of the best things to happen to me.. fade into the background... Sadly

i wish for the life of me me things could be different... but hey you gotta live with the card you are dealt, and try and be stronger....

We all have our crosses to carry, and i hope your son has many happy and healthy years left in him.....

ATB....

Fair play to the lad.....starting strenous exercise after that kind of thing takes some bottle just to have trust in your heart again....shame for one so young but sounds like he,s doing ok.Great stuff

He looks as fit as a fighting ferret! Cycling is one of the best general fitness sports there is. Subject to medical advice, he might also try swimming. Whatever, all the best to the lad, and to you.

Ric (once under 18 time trial champion 10 miles Leicester. No big deal but I do know!)
