Can anyone put me in touch with a .32 humane despatch pistol cheaper than the quotes we've had (£750) someone has got bright ideas for using one on road casualties (deer) not me i said get a lurcher :11: .We got called to a muntjac yesterday it had been hit by a car when we got there the police was there and the deer was on the grass verge there wouldn't let us shoot it because they couldn't give us permisson they said they wanted someone with a stun gun so we left and they left and the munty was left to suffer on the side of the road they say us doggin lads are fecking cruel

Our hunt has one burnie, trust me, you do not want to be using a .32 on small deer, at the side of a road, its definatly too much gun. We only use ours on beasts and horses, and the odd times its used on sheep etc, we have had to hold them down over, or in front of, a round bale, in the hands of an experienced man, a .22 will despatch owt that walks in this country, and a hell of a lot safer too.

I no baldie but by law you carn't despatch deer with anything less than a 243 legally and if the police are there at most cases we'll be travelling home in a panda car or we could use a 12 gauge with nothing less than a ssg init legally its the firearms officer who said about a .32 he even said about a .38 but my arms arn't like popeye's anymore as for the deer it got left to suffer untill a vet turn up(with a stun gun as the police man said) not a captive bolt as he ment

The laws ive been reading burnie say you can dispatch a deer by any means at your disposal eg rifle shot gun knife brick big fu ck off plank as long as you are putting an end to its suffering. .the 243 thing dont come into it and i would doupt if the .32 pistol would have the legal volocity. The cops can be real pricks at time because they dont know shit we had an escaped bull running about the town centre [bANNED TEXT] i got there to put it out its missery the cops were already in peoples =houses the f*****g poor animal had gave in and was colapsed on a front lawn anywat they didnt want me to shoot it incase i missed and it got up and caused havock so they set about it with shot guns four police the fecking animal ran about 100 yards distroying four or five cars in the proccess. I just looked at the cop that called me out and mutterd the words wankers. thank f**k it dont happen often. Might be differnt in england but thats what it says up here and makes sence ps after you kill it it still aint yours

I am sure you can not use a .22 to kill deer, no matter what the circumstances.

I have a mate who is a keeper and he said that it has to be a humane killer or a larger caliber than .22, with regard to the cop's, common sense just can not enter the scene. If he allows you to despatch with a .22 and word got out he would be for the bullet as well. Best thing when the police are involved is to bugger well off and leave them to it,
