dave1372 83 Posted April 1, 2010 Report Share Posted April 1, 2010 After all the bad weather this week followed by the snow last night was the first opportunity to head out for a mooch about, we weren't expecting to see anything really....just wanted to get out the house for a while. Couldn't believe how bad the snow had been in Midothian, a lot of the places still had powercuts and the snow ploughs had formed 6ft high mounds at the side of the roads. When we got to the farm immediately we realised it was going to be a pointless excercise because unless the foxes had grown very long legs there was no way they would be mooching about the fields. Here is a photo to show you how deep the snow was (the rocks are the top of a wall: Hope you and your friend have permission to be there, looks very much like a field where i shoot, and i am the only one with permission to be there LOL. its just that the top of the stone dyke looks very familiar, as i have stopped there loads of times and shot foxes in the field where your mate is, now i know why i havent seen any for a while in that field, hope you managed to get him out or he will be stuck in there until around mid may...
