bossco1 0 Posted April 1, 2010 Report Share Posted April 1, 2010 hi all iv a 14 month old lurcher,had him ouut under d lamp a few times,1 problem his loads of pace but when it comes to catching d rabbit he slows up on his tail and then d rabbit gets to ground,any idea how i can solve this?his eager to hunt but not grab? Paul in North Lincs 15 Posted April 1, 2010 Report Share Posted April 1, 2010 it sounds like the dog has had too many misses / runs on rabbits he hasnt been able catch and subsequently runs them to a hedge, half expecting them to get away. Either that or he's had a bang hitting cover and its put him off. I would build his confidence up slowly......leave off rabbits for a few weeks then give him some very easy droppers Quote Link to post
