a game of rugby ,with just one player against a team ,if you want to win every game you play ..... with one on one you got a 50 / 50 chance of winning . it dont take einstein to work out the way to win every time .that is what i want ,i dont know about you .all these people that say one dog one fox ,have probibly only done the od one or two .you dont get dogs that can do night after night on foxes ,if you want to do big numbers you have to own a lot of dogs or 2 or 3 that work togther ,it all comes down to what you want from a dog .nothing more nothing less .

I know what your saying 2GOOD. If you 'want to catch that fox' its about shortening the odds.

 

When (pre-ban) all I did was run foxes, you 'had' to run doubled. I was never going to drive for three hours plus (to get there) just to run one fecking dog!

 

What i'm saying is that some of the best fox 'pullers' dont like the ivory, couldn't kill a fox!

Seen some that are superbe, pulled hundreds of foxes..... For the 'real' dogs to kill BUT whatever anyone says a real 'fox dog' MUST be capable of running and killing its own foxes, single handed, throughout its working life, (seen enough 'jib' after a hard (100+) season)!!

i have owned one he was a brill dog , he always put foxes first ,he sorted hundreds of foxes single handed but i had more deer with him ,some real good bucks [all pree ban ] but the foxes was his down fall ,6 years old took a lot of damage head to head on foxes ,and caused untold damage inside his head , had to have him put down ,never will i do that to another dog just to say he was good on vermin again ,you live and learn .

i got some permission neer sandiway lakes last time i whent ferreting up there .

there was foxs paw marks all over the rab holes we got 3 farms up there
