woundering how much petrol would cost me to get this price, darn lucky u fella ... I got quoted £15 includeing consultation, so aint too bad i guess, but me and a lad chipped together and got one of his hobs Vesectamised just beffore xmes, hopfully it works. £45 to get a jill spayed, thats whats happening nxt year after their hopfully first litter, if they prove to carry on getting better and better that is and deserve to be bred from!!!

Time you pay for a few jills you could have paid for a hob to be snipped and he would last you for years

I Usually get my ferts from the rescue place, all castrated or speyed (vet checked etc minimum donation £10.00) but I have 1 Jill from somewhere else thats complete otherwise I would!

Cheers. D

But they might be no good! A lot of the serious ferreters on here like to breed there own strain from proven working ferrets mate...

But i ddint want my good working hob snipped or castrated! And it cost 50 for the snip and 70 for full castration. So 30 quid was a better option, as i may want to breed them again next year, so it will cost me nothing. :victory:

Time you get a hob snipped and he does six jills a year for ten years it works out at pennies and if your jills come in more than once a year ???

its easy to get a loan of a complete hob if you want to breed in future years

So if you wanted to breed your lurcher would you just get a lone of a male... I wouldnt, i would want to know, its origins, its work rate, its parenting. its drive, its ability etc... Same applys to my ferrets. There are working ferrets and there are working ferrets...
