At least the lads where out there putting the work in front of the dogs, more than most bitching about it on here ??

Bill, if someone had an elephant, you'd have a bag to keep it in ffs. Cheers, D.

I think anyone who thinks these lads dogs didn't do the numbers single handed aswel havnt got a clue.these lads dogs did more in a day/nite than I'd have in a month or 2 I'd of loved to do the numbers

I wish I could have dogs that didn’t need doubling up from pups to show the ropes,I must be the unlucky one,but suppose it’s all down to how much your out putting the miles and work in front of the dogs, some happy to be out once or twice a week where others are happy to be out four or five nights a week

Ferreting is a different game and one I’ve barely ever been involved in and for the most part of what I’ve seen on here it’s mostly about reducing the numbers the same as ratting with terriers. But anyway lads are free to do as they please just don’t think your doing anything special when you double up on fox.

Yes you’re right, and same goes for fox reducing the numbers when they become a nightmare for farmers/landowners

Are you trying to say if you only had one dog that it would never take a fox because it wasn’t shown the ropes. ???

Why would we?That was a sport that was meant to be run with 2dogs where they wernt meant to kill the hare but i dont agree with running lurchers on hares doubled up either.

Often wondered why a hare never won trophy. Probably couldn't catch up with it afterward to give him trophy.?

?? No what I was  trying to say in a nice way on the earlier post was if u were running single all the time you would be lucky to have a quarter of the number of fox them lads were putting away,as I said before some are happy knocking the odd fox or two over a week, and as for starting pups we’ve all got are own ways of starting them off

Wonder if you’d were all at waterloo cup bitching about them doubling up too lol

That's got f**k ALL to do with killing foxes, or hares. All about the hounds scoring points for the way they worked the hare during the course. The kill  WASN'T necessary. Don't tell me, all these bull x owning, fox hunting enthusiasts are running these dogs to 'test' how well the dogs are 'working' the fox! f***ing clown!!

??? Think a few lads just need to be honest with themselves and admit their animals are as slow as a wet weekend or curs or both. ???
