My spinger is a rough shooting dog used mainly for woodcock, duck and pheasent, but i was curious to see has anyone ever seen a springer been used for the purpose for ratting before? There's a couple of Springers up the road from me that will dig well deep into Mole Hills, and this they picked up from a Russell that I had called Rags. If they dig like terriers, then why not rat like terriers. Quote Link to post

The only problem with using soft mouthed dogs for ratting is they start to get a bit hard mouthed which marks the game Quote Link to post
