kill um with crisps 7
I use a .22 rimmy for rabbits and a 22.250 for foxes but if were talking shotguns i say 12 bore. A .22 centrefire will take out a rabbit at any range your good enough a shot to hit it at but there wont be much meat left. Quote Link to post
slingshot 0
If it is just one gun you are after ,then 22 hornet is the best bet as long as you are prepared to load your own. A hornet can be downloaded to subsonic for rabbit control or made into a little screamer for the foxes upto a range of about 180 yards. It moderateds very well and cheap to reload. It you can't be bothered to reload the look at 22wmr or 17hmr. If you are going to have multiple guns the 22 LR and 223 or 22-250 what caliber would you recomend for rabbits and fox control? and can anyone advise me on a make? Quote Link to post
dave1372 83
What happens now is that everyone recommends you what they have sooooooooo... .......22-250 for me, mainly for foxes though, a 22-250 turns rabbits to mincemeat! Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
what caliber would you recomend for rabbits and fox control? and can anyone advise me on a make? We have been over this one many times and the fact is two guns are really required, which will give you a great deal of versatility. However, if it to be just one then the Hornet, or possibly .22WMR! kill um with crisps 7
This is what a 22.250 does to a fox at 100 yards. Imagine what it would do to a rabbit, thats why you want 2 rifles mate. Quote Link to post
